Ownership Analysis

The T206H is the modern turbocharged Stationair, built from 1998 onward with the Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A (310 hp) and, from the mid-2000s, Garmin G1000 avionics. It combines the 206’s six-seat utility and double cargo doors with turbocharged high-altitude performance. Its turbocharging makes it a favorite for high-elevation operators in the Mountain West and for float flying where density altitude eats into performance.

Newer G1000-equipped examples carry little avionics-modernization uncertainty, while earlier analog T206Hs may warrant an upgrade budget. Turbocharger maintenance and usage history, including float or backcountry time, are key condition factors. Engine time since overhaul and the condition of the exhaust and turbo system deserve a focused pre-purchase look.

Strong utility demand and the relatively young fleet support solid collateral values and favorable lender underwriting. Loan terms fall under the Certified Piston tier.
